Truth is that is beyond the copyright law intent. Lawyers and politicians
have destroyed the constitutional rights of our country when it comes to
copyright law. Disney used its power paying off Sonny Bono to extend and
change the copyright law when Mickey was about to become PD. Well that is
about to happen again in 2024, so maneuvering has already begun.

With the Beverly Hillbillies shows that are PD, they must also be shown
without the real opening or closing theme songs. The real PD versions have
alternate instrumental music in place of the real theme.

Rick, that is the correct assessment.
Interestingly the same rule applies to all the other shows thought to be
in the PD: Beverly Hillbillies, Bonanza, the Superman cartoons, etc.

I heard a LPTV was threatened by a nearby high power, that he couldn't air
the same program that a high power station was airing. And he was
complaining about Beverly Hillbillies for crying out loud. The LPTV just
took them off to avoid trouble. But, this sounds over-the-top to me. I
remember turning on every channel playing the same shows, different
episodes maybe, but either Law and Order or NCIS. A fresh unique ensemble
of programs would be welcome to the communities. Anyone know about that,
High Power TV Station has exclusive rights when airing PD.
