Jean and Jeff Trahan, and I, spent a very nice afternoon in Kisatchie NF
yesterday. We started at the Evangeline Primitive Camp area on FR 273, then
moved to a few locations along Castor Plunge Rd. There were many b/fs on the
wing and we saw a total of 18 species. Not much in bloom, primarily false
garlic along with some blackberry vines. There were several reduds in bloom but
we could not find any Henry's Elfins.
