Cuando me mudé a vivir a la isla (permanentemente) en el año 2006, mi contacto
con la naturaleza isleña fue muy fuerte. Preparé una muestra que se llamó "los
caminos de la isla", donde expuse desde mis viejos cuadros isleños, hasta un
mural de papel escenografía de 3,30m de ancho por algo parecido de alto
(ocupaba toda una pared del museo Sarmiento); también hubieron varios objetos
que consideré como "aislados", significando "convertidos en isla". La
preparación de esta muestra fue una de las mejores cosas que me sucedió en la
vida pues ahí terminé (por el momento) de entender o descubrir desde dónde
concebir mi arte. Luego, no se si el mismo año o al siguiente, fue tanto el
"aislamiento" que éste llegó hasta mi propio cuerpo. Las fotos están tomadas
con mi primera camarita digital que parece de juguete, no tiene macro (por eso
los fuera de foco) ni automático para la luz. Tanto los dibujos como las fotos
fueron hechas como borrador, a modo de prueba, pero nunca pude repetir la
serie, así que quedó como quedó y se llama "el monte avanza".Este amor a la
naturaleza, este éxtasis isleño de pantanos y pájaros, me terminó de cerrar
leyendo a Fukuoka cuando dice "la naturaleza es dios". Luego, en mi
acercamiento a la espiritualidad americana originaria, continué comprendiendo
las profundidades de este amor. Por eso, los pueblos originarios sienten tanto
respeto por la naturaleza, no la depredan, no la ensucian, no la exterminan, la
naturaleza nos enseña, nos muestra el camino.Las fotos se adjuntaron
exactamente al revés. Hay que mirar primero la última.
