[lit-ideas] censure & impeachment

Hi folks,
Tardily revisiting an issue, but it's still not clear to me. Clinton wasn't 
censured but impeached, I gather. Judy said he was impeached only by the 
House, not the Senate--so Clinton wasn't impeached? I recall hearing that 
Clinton was indeed impeached (I guess by both houses of Congress), but then 
was pardoned (by...?).

So what happened? Which action is stronger--impeachment or censure? Does 
either necessarily  lead to being ousted from office?
