When the last Space Shuttle had just landed, local TV news interviewed the mother of one of the astronauts.

Standing outside her suburban tract house in Queens, the woman was asked how she felt about her son being an astronaut, about the good news of the landing.

"I hope he NEVER does this to ME again!" was her only comment.

What an asshole. Diminishing her son's achievement. And naturally, it was all about her. He did it to her. Another oppressive mom.
