Over gray of granite, gray grim rain,
and gray computer grain's glum glow,
cement gray ash in rain after rain,
drumming dusk drab mist gray trim,
hammering needles of damp new mold,
a fat pigeon flutters on tar rooftop,
like a football lobbed from the blank sky.
No one wants a gray football.
