According to a report in 'The Observer' UK, Lay is to be declared what Billy
Joel once called 'an innocent man'. This is because (a) he is presumed
innocent until his appeals are exhausted; (b) he must be alive to the end of
the process.

In England afaik there is no presumption of innocence upon conviction but
before appeals are exhausted, so (b) doesn't even come into it.

Perhaps you Enron-haters should have had him extradicted over here? Or
perhaps, given the sacrosanctity of due process, you should all hush now and
decease condemnation of someone who turns out to be an innocent man.
