Hi, My name is Paul S. and I suffer from psychosomatic backpain -- AND... I know about it AND... it still is very persistent -- unless I have something else to think about. In other words, if I'm hungover, or have a cold or feel nauseous or have a broken finger or a thorn in my toe, my back doesn't hurt. Last year, I pinched a nerve in my hip and I had shooting pains down both legs for 6 month -- no back pain then... if I am concentrating on something or having fun, playing sports, swimming -- my back doesn't hurt. If, however, I'm sitting still doing nothing, the back is a wreck. I have no doubt my back really hurts, but unless it's the most prevalent thing, I simply don't notice it. I guess I have to notice something. I just wish it wasn't tension in my shoulders. in search of... dis-traction, paul ########## Paul Stone pas@xxxxxxxx Kingsville, ON, Canada ------------------------------------------------------------------ To change your Lit-Ideas settings (subscribe/unsub, vacation on/off, digest on/off), visit www.andreas.com/faq-lit-ideas.html
