Might I suggest that those interested in Wittgenstein's complex and prima facie unintuitive thoughts on rule-following also take a look at Saul Kripke's Wittgenstein on Rules and Private Language?
If one can understand what Wittgenstein means when he says 'I obey the rule blindly,' one will have a good grasp of Wittgenstein's views, as developed in the Blue Book, and continued in the Investigations.
