Car burning a prank? Well maybe, compared to the rough and tumble
barrens of my youth. In that part of Pennsylvania, marauding
bands of feral teenagers applied a standard prank (or "raid")that
consisted of killing the males of a community, enslaving the
women and children, burning the houses and shacks down, and
salting the lawns and gardens. Any house pets were freed.
But that was a simpler time, almost quaint by comparison.
