Car burning a prank? Well maybe, compared to the rough and tumble barrens of my youth. In that part of Pennsylvania, marauding bands of feral teenagers applied a standard prank (or "raid")that consisted of killing the males of a community, enslaving the women and children, burning the houses and shacks down, and salting the lawns and gardens. Any house pets were freed.

But that was a simpler time, almost quaint by comparison.
