continue to do so) without a candidate who speaks for us.
Then I'd like Kerry to say, and believe, that his objective is to get our
troops out of Iraq asap.
A.A. And he said that and outlined a 4 pronged approach of how to do it.
C.K. Is this too much to ask of the supposed opposition candidate, or must=
we
choose between one guy's mismanagement of a stupid, wrongheaded war and the
other's proposed mismanagement of same? =20
A.A. Listen to his speeches.
C.K. Don't even get me started on
Kerry's weak national health proposal...Or his jobs program. (What program?=
)
A.A. Are you looking for a Depression Era style jobs program? Growing the =
economy is the way to do it, including, even based on, reducing the trillio=
n dollar deficit. It's why the economy did so well under Clinton, because =
he paid off our debts for us and put together a surplus. Under Bush, inste=
ad of using money for healthcare and other civil projects, the government i=
s paying off interest on money they have to borrow because they gave away t=
he surplus to the wealthiest citizens through massive tax cuts. At the sam=
e time, services are cut. No Child Left Behind is unfunded and so on. Th=
e problem is people don't care about deficit spending, not to mention that =
most of them don't understand it. People are happy to live on credit and =
don't care if the government does too. Bush even wants to privatize Social=
Security. Democrats go along with tax cuts for the wealthy and trickle do=
wn tax cuts for everyone else because if they didn't, people would just vot=
e them out. In the meantime, the country is all but broke, and nobody give=
s a hoot.
C.K. Sure I'm voting for Kerry, but hell if I don't think he needs a BIGGER=
kick
in the ass, not the arse, at this point! Never too late...

I ask again why she didn't attack Bush the way the Guardian did, on his
