Military Keynesianism, so of course your pension isn't in any (immediate) danger.  The military keeps this country economically afloat, such as it is.  Pensions for those not tied to the military, which is to say the rest of the middle class, are not so certain.  We need to all turn our plowshares into swords...

There are several interesting items in this article:

 

  1. My pension, which is paid by Boeing, appears to be in no immediate danger.
  2. The fear of flying after 9/11 seems to be over.
  3. The long term support of Airbus by European governments seems to be doing the same kind of thing to Airbus that government support did to the USSR with a similar outlook.
