I have tried to check the version properties of the various dll files, but they are not revealed for some reason. Maybe because of the way the dlls are being cross-compiled. Also, I think it would make good sense for file2brl and Braille Blaster to be able to show the version of its subcomponents. If you have more than one copy on your machine for some reason, it might not be easy to tell which version is being used. If you need to use a certain version (e.g. the newest) of LibLouis with a program, it would be nice to be able to verify that the program is actually using the given version. I am mostly writing tables. So, I didn't know it could be that tricky to have a program display the version of its libraries together with its own version. Although it would be nice to have, their probably are more important things on which to spend a lot of time. I for one actually do have a couple of wishes for Liblouis that would ease the writing of the Danish tables a lot. It provides a standard way to provide version information. If you also want the liblouis version info you would have to extend this. But can't you get version info using ldd, i.e. ldd `which file2brl`?
