Yes it was a real pleasure meeting u guys and I look forward to meeting with y'all again. Thanks again for helping me get my plane out of the tree. I probably couldn't have done it without y'alls help. Hope everybody has a Great work week! Great to meet Phillip and Jason. You guys have also been added to Letkrik_Flyers just FYI. You can also look below my signature line for website info, and other links that might help out. I'm becoming somewhat of an expert at plane retrieval from trees. I have put mine in them enough times, and have now helped at least 3 others get theirs out. Just glad to have help around and sometimes lucky enough to get to it with just a little help in engineering if materials are available. Thanks Joel for helping rig all that up. I'm just glad those rotten limbs held together long enough to get that dislodged. That could have been much much worse! ;-) This kind of weather takes me back several years to when John Cooper and I would get home from work, and head straight out to Wooster International (Wooster Park) and fly until dark or later (before they started fencing it in). The kind of weather we had this evening was very good, although I did notice some buffeting by some of the lighter planes once they cleared the treetop line, but that is just something you have to get used to there. Definitely some activity on the flying front lately and I guess finding the right time is about as important as finding the right place. What a full weekend of flying. L.A.F.F.S had a GREAT Fly In on Saturday (Friday kind of got rained out), Fort Smith had the Low Fly In, and cap the weekend off with some quick flying action and there you have it. Thanks Tray and all for posting that out. See you in the air... On Sun, Sep 22, 2013 at 8:04 PM, Joel Dean <deanjk@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: There was a great turnout at Beaverfork tonight. I had a great time see familiar faces and meeting some new folks. There was a spectacular crash into a tree across the flying field and the Sensei wedged behind a couple of tree branches about 20 feet up. Bill and I strapped two tree branches together with a piece of wire and he dislodged it from the branch while we caught it before it hit the ground. I was thoroughly impressed that the worst damage was a pretty small crack in the wing. I am SO going to buy a Sensei. The weather was great and the sunset was gorgeous.
