Hi Philippe,
I'm almost a day late in responding but only checked my email now.
These 2 shots are wonderful landscapes; my preference is also for the
horizontal perspective. The morning light at the canal has a serenity
charged with fluidity, and since you mentioned Mozart, it conjured up
Mozart's Clarinet-Quintet, KV 581, second movement. Try it and let me
know your thoughts ;-) ! While viewing

turn on your speakers and listen to:

One can almost expect a pair of swans to glide past in the foreground ;-) !

Just guessing - you were using an Angenieux 35-70 zoom lens for these shots?
Thanks for sharing scenes from your lovely part of the world!
