Subject: [LRflex] Re: R lenses on full frame bodies

Thanks to all the responses to this topic.  I've heard about the Leitax option
and do like its solid coupling to the the new mount of choice, but since I
still shoot film I still wanted to be able to swap quickly between the two.
And the Sony A7 was quite tempting when it went on sale when the A7iii was
rumored to be released, but I've read about internal reflections, poor battery
life and cluttered menu which put me off to the body.  I also didn't accept
the M or SL adapted option; mainly because it was cost prohibitive.  I never
sold off my R collection hoping someday a better solution than their own or
than the Sony.

This topic has triggered one of my biggest frustrations with my modest Leica R collection. The lenses are outstanding, but compromised when coupled with non-Leica cameras. Based on the great results that Sonny Carter gets with his Sony A7s, I looked into those, but didn't care for the menu interface and other issues that came with their high prices. We 'R' users have been beaten around for decades, now!  8-D
