Richard Sorry I can't lay claims to those photos (as much as I'd like to). I do believe that they are Arams. He's our resident flower shooter. As far as a drizzly spring afternoon, the best I can do right now is moving 12 inches of lake effect out of my driveway. And the damn stuff just keeps on a comming. ------ >-- Regards YXAndy --- On Mon, 2/8/10, Richard Ward <ilovaussiesheps@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: From: Richard Ward <ilovaussiesheps@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: [LRflex] Re: OK Andy - Images To: leicareflex@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Monday, February 8, 2010, 10:50 PM Hi Andy, Thanks for following Ted's aphorisms and taking those gorgeous images! They made me long for a drizzly spring afternoon to go shooting in - risking my well worn and NON waterproof 20D all the way. Kudos to you. Query: Even in the small images the stunning uber goodness of the lens assisting you in creating those images shouted out to me quite loudly. I assume the 100mm f2.8 apo is a Macro lens - Can you comment on this point or comment on the lens in general? I'm contemplating going the R Lens route for a Macro Lens in the future. Kind of a tough call with the other R lenses I own. I have a 90mm f2.8 Elmarit that I haven't really gotten to use much yet, but have (unsurprisingly!) found it to be quite wonderful so far. It becomes a 144mm lens on my 20D which is a bit limiting, but once I have a Full Frame dSLR it may become a go-to lens. My other R lens is the Summicron 50mm f2 and it is a genuine joy to use and handle when I get to do some shooting. With the Summicron being a 80mm equivalent it stands to reason my Elmarit will get more usage in the future. Richard ________________________________ Be Nice To Your Children!
