It's OK, Godfrey. My lens testing is taking photos. I've no interest in
charts.
But, the lens arrived late yesterday, so not much time to play with it.
Tomorrow we leave for Alberta, for Christmas with the kids & grandkids.
(Actually, they're not grand ... just "so-so" kids!)
But, Thursday, we'll be visiting an old friend who had dozens of bird feeders,
thus tons of birds. You can bet I'll be "testing" there!
David.
Nicely done!------
I don't know whether it's worth doing a bunch of "lens testing" ... It sure
seems fine far as lens performance goes. I'd just get to work with it and
make some photographs. :-)
Merry Xmas, Happy Hanukkah, Season's Greetings, ... Happy New Year to all!

My Christmas present to me, from me, was a new Pana-Leica 100~400 zoom lens.
So far, I've very impressed with it's fit, finish and handling.
I will need to do more testing to determine it's optical qualities, but
again, so far I've been impressed.
Snowing, thus overcast, here. Light is low. But here's a first effort.
Our cat, Bitsy, is not comfortable unless he had a paw on either Rose or I,
or some other way has contact. Here he is, settling down to sleep on Rose's
hand.

Depth of field is shallow, as wide open was the only option.
Available darkness with 1/6th second @ f4.9. ISO 2500.
