Hello David,
Now that's an interesting group title to say the least and to keep it on the
same subject!
I must be late on enlisting as I've just had great receptions of e-mail
indicating some kind of receiving situation? It appears I have several, several
hundred e-mails to catch-up on during the next couple of days?
I look forward to some interesting LEICA SLR stories and tidbits. Certainly
from those using the new??? "WHATEVER?" the SLR's are called today? And
unfortunately "COST BEYOND" one's potential income?????????????????????? :-)
:-(
But then many many many years ago I recall thoughts of "Man I'll never be able
to purchase a LEICA SLR?
But I owned 6 motor driven bodies sometimes and all with a different sized
lens on each. But then that was time when assignments about Canada were a dime
a dozen.
Documenting life within this country top to bottom, East coast to west coast
out onto the oceans, up to the North Pole and back to the USA border! Aaaaahhhh
those were the wonderful days of shooting photojournalism assignments "29 hrs"
a day and loving every moment of it! :-)
Now with possibly a new version LEICA SLR?
Along with a few zoom lenses I may well enjoy great fun clicking away SLR? :-)
Once again! :-)
See you on the screen!
cheers,
Dr. Ted Grant O.C.

Good Mornin' Philippe!
Yes, it was hand-held. The in-lens stabilization was used, rather than the
in-body of the Oly. Various reviews seem to indicate that's the way to go.
With a 1/6th second @ 187mm FL I think it works pretty well!
No "twinkie light"... Ted has taught me well!
David.
Indeed!------
And if this was shot handheld, Uncle T might think his lessons have been
fruitful :-)
Keep zooming
Amities to Rose, cat and you.
Philippe, who got himself a 10-25, I think, as an anticipated Xmas gift to
self.

My Christmas present to me, from me, was a new Pana-Leica 100~400 zoom lens.
So far, I've very impressed with it's fit, finish and handling.
I will need to do more testing to determine it's optical qualities, but
again, so far I've been impressed.
Snowing, thus overcast, here. Light is low. But here's a first effort.
Our cat, Bitsy, is not comfortable unless he had a paw on either Rose or I,
or some other way has contact. Here he is, settling down to sleep on Rose's
hand.

Depth of field is shallow, as wide open was the only option.
Available darkness with 1/6th second @ f4.9. ISO 2500.
