It is indeed odd. Some people and the majority who bought the camera love
the VF, me included. Particularly in manual focus mode it is the best I have
found yet, you can precisely focus even difficult lenses like the Summiluxes
that pose problem on the M8. Other people hate it; very few sold the camera
again because of it. I ordered the camera without having seen it. Like you,
I could not find one with a loaded battery.

I still haven't managed to see through the VF; no shop here has one with a
loaded battery when they have scores on display, as if they had decided NOT
to sell any ...
