Thanks Peter,

if I may ask for more information :

1 do you have to leave the camera on all the time in order to have a peep through the VF
2 if yes, how long does a battery last in that wait/sleep mode
3 if not, how long does the camera take to fully wake up when you turn it on
4 is there a shutter lag
5 any reported issues with the lack of a shutter? (dust or other impediment?)

Thanks in anticiaption
Phili^^e

Rebonjour Philippe,

It is indeed odd. Some people and the majority who bought the camera love the VF, me included. Particularly in manual focus mode it is the best I have found yet, you can precisely focus even difficult lenses like the Summiluxes that pose problem on the M8. Other people hate it; very few sold the camera again because of it. I ordered the camera without having seen it. Like you, I could not find one with a loaded battery.

Amitiés
Peter

I still haven't managed to see through the VF; no shop here has one with a loaded battery when they have scores on display, as if they had decided NOT to sell any ...
