Absolutely. Potentially very useful. And learning new things is wonderful for 
the soul.

Tilting a lens can be a very easy thing to do.
Not sure if you have any good enlarger lens laying around.
If you do - such a lens, your bellows and some black tape can give you a very 
functional "tilt and/or swing" in far less time than what you've spent shooting 
frames for stacking and learning the software techniques.
