I actually like the second shot as my eye is drawn to the eye of the bull and it keeps my attention. While there is obvious extra space, the extent of action, expression of the bull(kind of like "ha ha got that off my back you wanna try your luck) holds my eye long enough to discover that there is a guy in the cloud of dust behind the bull ------ >-- Regards YXAndy ________________________________ From: David Young <dsy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: LRflex <leicareflex@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sun, July 17, 2011 12:33:15 PM Subject: [LRflex] Advice requested Good Morning! I offer you two visions of the same image. I started with this image... http://www.furnfeather.net/Temps/Exit-1.html and it fits my criteria for a decent rodeo shot... But then I tried a tighter crop, to eliminate the chap on the left. http://www.furnfeather.net/Temps/Exit-2.html It is, I think, more dramatic, but for me, it leaves too much space, on the left and the action leads the eye out of the picture. I can't decide on which is the better crop. Your thoughts on the subject, appreciated. -- David Young - Photographer Logan Lake, CANADA Wildlife: www.furnfeather.net Personal: www.main.furnfeather.net A micro-lender through www.Kiva.org. ------ Unsubscribe or change to/from Digest Mode at: http://www.lrflex.furnfeather.net/ Archives are at: //www.freelists.org/archives/leicareflex/ ------ Unsubscribe or change to/from Digest Mode at: http://www.lrflex.furnfeather.net/ Archives are at: //www.freelists.org/archives/leicareflex/
