Ted,

I have the FMZ10. Don't misunderstand me...the G6 is a very nice
little camera and in some ways is better than the Lumix...faster lens,
way less noise at any ISO above 200....ISO 400 to me on the Lumix is
totaly unuseable. Lumix has no RAW mode. But the Lumix does make
nice files, has a great lens, appx 35-420 2.8!

My main gripe with the G6 is the on and off switch...is way to easy to
activate....this make it a camera that has to be carried by strap, not
in a pocket or the like. If I am going to have a camera on my
shoulder I'd rather it be a "real" camera...like a 1D or an M6.

The lens on the G6 is fast allowing real available light, 400 ISO is
acceptable, and the little twisty viewfinder is great! Just for me,
I'd rather stick my S45 in my pocket or such...so this camera is
mostly collecting dust...so I have decided to sell it.
