Yesterday I waited to meet up with Holly at TTUHSC to check out the Poor
Wills. While we were there we started looking for the Yellow Breasted Chat
in the tree Holly had seen it in previously. We could hear it but couldn't
see it. It didn't help that the sun was going down. Anyway we finally saw
it. As we were taking pictures, we heard a commotion in the tree next to
us and it looked like a hawk had flown into the tree to get "dinner". It
was somewhat stuck in the tree for a bit and low and behold it was a barn
owl. Wow I have never seen one before. So we kinda chased it around the
courtyard. It was so cool and absolutely beautiful! So yesterday, not
only did I meet 4 birders, I saw 2 lifers! (Poor Will and Barn owl)
This morning I went back to see if I could find the chat again. No Poor
Wills, but I did find the chat. Beautiful yellow chest. So while I was
there I saw this bird. Could I get some help with ID. I attached 3 pics
