Yay!!! I’m really glad that so many are getting to see them! This week will he
known as “Poorwill week” for me from now on! I never thought I would get to see
one so well!

We went to the TTUHSC, and with excellent help from Jennifer arrived at the
right location to look for the Common Poorwills.
Two other people soon arrived, Kassie Moore and Alan Livingston, .also
looking for the Poorwills.
With a sharp eye, Alan soon spotted the one hidden in the landscaping just
left of the approach to the Library entrance.
We all got a good look and photos. As we looked at it, Alan was already far
away near the west end of the narrow gravel alongside the parking lot, where
he spotted the second Poorwill.
Thanks to Alan for spotting this difficult to find bird. It could easily be
overlooked, mistaken for a pine cone or rock. The second bird appeared to be
a lighter color than the first.
This bird was a lifer for us also.

there at least 2-3 days and with the fronts that are coming we could lose
