Hi Michael,

Thanks for your reply. I've already been reading the sound editor's
settings on that specific sound. I have been able to set the oscillators
appropriately but I have a bit of a problem translating the other settings
ro the Triton Extreme. Yes, The TE does have a sampler but really it's a
matter of figuring out the Attack, Decay, Frequency, Amplitude, Effects,
etc. of the sound. As I look under "the hood" so to speak. what I see is
like the difference between my 1990 Honda Accord engine and my 2006 Honda
Odyssey engine. Sure, they make each vehicle go, but the 2006 engine is
much more complicated and bigger. If I can figure out how to reconstitute
the sound in the TE, It will be much more effective especially as an
authentic analog sound and not a digital "copy" of the sound. Once I get it
figured out it will work out so nicely in a customized combination while
taking advantage of the Extreme's dual arpeggiators. I really have to dive
into the TE's manual about sound editing for this one.

The .pcg (Program/Combination/Global setting) files are pretty specific to
the instrument. It would be awesome if there was a file converter out there
for it. The X50 looked like a fun little board.

The X5DR is still a great little module (got it new in 2001). It's fun to
mix it with my Triton Extreme and Motif ES. I even had 2 of them at one
time.

Best wishes from Washington State, USA!
Mitch
