Hi, Although you can connect an adaptor to a USB port to change it physically into a D connector like the standard COM Ports you will find that the driver can only see real COM Ports, therefore you are wasting your time buying a converter lead. If your motherboard is like mine, it has available COM Ports but they are not necessarily taken to external connectors. I got around this problem by purchasing a COM Port card which could be assigned to COMs 1 through 4. This works with the Korg PCI connector as the driver an now see the keyboard, which by the way must be connected when installing and configuring the driver. Hope this helps.
