Have you checked out the Korg X5 Editor for Mac or PC? I honestly couldn't live without it. Programming the display definitely is tedious to say the least. My programming creativity rose tenfold when I started to use the editor. Worse, programming the '05 from the front panel is tedious (in the extreme) and is about as fun as watching paint dry. My day gig is writing software, and as you know software geeks are lazy (especially UNIX weenies), so I've been kicking around an idea for a Windows app (Linux will have to wait. Sorry.) that allows easy configuration and experimentation--without having to consult that godawful, horrorshow manual. Before I roll up my sleeves and reinvent the wheel, does anyone out there in Korgyland know of such an app (either cheap or free) that sort of does something sort of like this? If not, would anyone care to contribute ideas for features (like, "I really wish your app would do blah, blah, blah...") while the page is still blank? Would anyone like to be a beta tester for this app when the time comes? Lemme know what you think. Cheers, Robert Eastman http://www.mp3.com/SatyrN PS: Thomas Anderssen, I've just finished a computer graphic simulator of Earth from space using publicly available satellite imagery. Wanna night shot of Earth that shows your neck of the woods from 7000 km up? (Caveat: The zip file is about 1.5Mb in size, so you'd better have a fast modem if you don't wanna grow old first. The pic is 1280x1024x24 in BMP format.) I made the pic tonight for some friends in Stockholm. They dug it. -----Original Message----- From: Thomas Anderssen <thomas.anderssen@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: korgypark@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <korgypark@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Sunday, January 20, 2002 11:21 PM Subject: [korgypark] Re: Bank Select, ENA ? > >Howdy...
