I have a few questions: Are you able to receive all of your patches from the X5 (so that they = show up OK in the editor)? Have you tried sending or receiving sysex banks? Does it work?=20 I was able to sort out my problem by connecting my X5 to the MIDI I/O of = my Terratec EWs88 MT card. For some reason I was unable to dump anything = from the X5 to the editor (I received some kind of data error I think). = Also, the X5 refused to load any patches greater than a certain number. = Thus it didn't replace some of the factory sounds. However, if I opend = one of the un-replaced patches in the editor Window (that is, it was = copied to the temporary patch buffer) it loaded OK. Loading data in = sysex format failed as well. So I was unable to load whole banks and = unable to receive anything. By the way, I have a PC running Windows 98SE. The MIDI errors might have = something to do with the fact that both programs, the sysex dumper and = the X5/05 sound editor, are actually Windows 3.1 programs. Windows 9x = has only one virtual machine for these programs. I think the programs = may not have liked the USB MIDI interface as they are originally for = Windows 3.1.=20 ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent through the Korgy Park mailing list.
