You just missed a meeting!
Here are some thoughts. I understand you want to target a larger group at
their workplace.
ORNL seems like the right kind of target audience. The NTSC/MDF facility
is in town and they are actually working on wireless charging.
One key requirement: cooperation from the employer to let folks run test
drives while still on the clock. (Easier at a government facility) If you
are between the employees and Miller time the participation level will be
much smaller.
A useful feature: chargers present to recharge the test drive vehicles and
to show how easy it is to charge. That's a nice advantage to Turkey Creek,
although I don't have a solution for our inability to attract a crowd
there. The best public activity I can think of to join in with is the
annual auto show. Now is a good time to start planning a test drive
event. Imagine an exhibit on the show floor to advertise the test drive
and to sign release forms, then a short bus ride in Ollie to the nearby
drive location centered in World's Fair Park, followed with a ride back to
the show. The biggest problem is weather.
Incidentally, I am now the proud owner of a 2018 Leaf. I am also selling
the roadster.

I’ve had all of the staff and workers at UT Medical Center in my mind for
some time, and we worked on such a couple of years ago. The thought was
that we’d show up with a few EVs that we would have for the day, and once
all the approvals were in place we’d basically spend the better part of the
whole day at the location letting people get in the vehicles but hopefully
having a boatload of test drives. I would expect that we would plan well in
advance and work with that entity to get them to internally communicate
that we would be there that day to all of their staff multiple times in
advance of the event.
I appreciate any thoughts you have on this!
