[kismac] prism2 driver woes

hello,

i'm running kismac 0.08a on a pb17 (ist gen) with airport extreme and senao prism2 interfaces. obviously, kismac is using the prism2 card.

kismac frequently fails to unload the driver after it's been scanning for a while. sometimes the driver tool will work, sometimes it won't. is there a command i can run in the terminal to manually unload the driver when the tool fails?

also, i am currently not using any 'real' drivers like ioxpert's or the sourceforge driver. if i use one of these instead, will kismac use it instead of its own driver and thereby skip the whole loading / unloading process? its kind of frustrating since i'm shooting for uptime records and this is currently forcing me to reboot every few days!

thanks,

g
