3. Hail, Dorothy!

It was DOROTHY Shetley who submitted the winning newsletter name
ConnectEng, not her husband Brent, as I announced in the last newsletter.
My apologies to them, and thanks and congratulations to Dorothy!

-------------------------------
4. NEH Seminars and Institutes
    http://www.neh.gov/projects/si-school.html

Teachers in the U.S. are invited to apply for summer seminars and
institutes covering a variety of topics and meeting in a variety of
locations in the U.S. and abroad. Applications are due by March 1,
2004. This is a wonderful program -- if you're interested in one of
    the seminars, go for it!
-------------------------------
5. AskERIC

Teachers lost a good friend when the Website AskERIC lost its funding
from the U.S. government. Fortunately, the content was migrated to
the Educator's Reference Desk, eduref.org. Web English Teacher has
several links to AskERIC, and I am in the process of updating them.

-------------------------------
6. Of Calendars and Classrooms

    http://www.webenglishteacher.com/calendars.html
A teacher reflects on the cycle of seasons and the classroom.
-------------------------------
Pray for peace.
