Announcing the launching of a new journal, the Electronic Journal of
Mathematics and Technology (eJMT)

Evolving technological developments have prompted mathematical
researchers, educators, as well as practitioners of mathematics to use
experimental approaches in their respective investigations. With new
technology, many exciting and attractive opportunities have been and
will be created for those students who enjoy mathematics and technology.
The eJMT strives for publishing quality papers to convey to the readers
that Mathematics and its applicable fields can be made to be Fun,
Accessible, Challenging and Theoretical (FACT). Also, it will provide
readers global perspectives of how mathematics curriculum is changing
from country to country when new technological tools become available.
It is the hope that the eJMT can foster a culture that adequate training
of the innovative use of Technology is implemented in teachers' training
program. Theoretical Mathematics can be made accessible by many
undergraduate students to inspire them to further research in the
future.

Why A New Journal?

The eJMT, an international refereed journal, will address technology-based issues in all Mathematical Sciences.

The eJMT will deal primarily, but not exclusively, with the use of technologies in mathematics and mathematics education research, pedagogy, and mathematics applications.

The eJMT will communicate the most recent applications of technology in pure and applied mathematics and in electronic format, including video and sound.

The eJMT will publish the source codes of programs together with submitted papers electronically, so readers can actually continue the experiments.

The journal is also a valuable medium for high school mathematics teachers worldwide to discuss effective ways of implementing technology in their teaching.

From country to country, the use of technology in high school mathematics varies greatly, and the journal is an excellent place to provide collective worldwide ideas and share their varying experiences.
