If you use the IVAO Eye. After logging in, go to the tab 'My Eye' you will get a metar data for your Departure and Destination, constantly updated. 

You will also be notified, as to nearest A/C and controllers.
The only part of the Eye, is the routings page, does not work, I use RFinder instead.
