LOL! Perhaps these are features of the demo.

I don't know if anybody else has noticed, but when I used to use JAWS in
demo mode, it's performance isn't as good as when activated. It takes
longer, quite a bit longer to start up prior to me activating JAWS, and
seems to have glitches which disappear once activated.

Personally, I think JAWS 9 is a big improvement and I love the new features.

Subject: the new jaws 9, how is it?

I did not download the new 9. I am waiting to see what others say.

I see many comments, not all that many problems. It seems like a winner from
here.

However, I guess, is it an upgrade from 8 enough to buy it? Or, is it the
final answer to vista to work super good with the new windows?

Here's my experience quickly. I bought vista using the new jaws beta. Vista
worked so slowly, it seemed like it was running in paragraph mode. it was
too slow to use honestly. I was bummed. I see nothing about sluggishness on
the list? does anyone really see any sluggishness? I see no reason to move
ahead unless it works as quickly as xp pro did. I like x p pro. yes, few
games, gadgets etc on vista. sort to apprehensive to do it because of my
experience.

I had a xps 1710m, with 2 gigs memory, fairly nice cpu. barely worked fast
enough to listen to it. this was march April of this year.

any thoughts?

thanks,

Julian
