I suppose it didn't crash, but my computer isn't as fast as I would like
and when jaws went silent and nothing worked for about 2 minutes I had
to guess that it had crashed. Yeah I am used to people not practicing
what they preach, so its no surprise that the original poster replied to
a digest and left it all in.

I am not saying that you should remove all the signatures, just that,
after you compose your message, you can arrow down over the first and
even second original message to give your reply some context, but delete
the older messages which are no longer relevant to what is being
discussed. Sure it may be a little more work than just typing and
sending, but maybe if writing messages took a little more work we would
get less messages which convey little or no information.

I am not the list admin (thank god) so you can do whatever you like, but
there are those who would appreciate it if you and others would do a
little house cleaning of their messages before sending them.
