Oh. I see what happened. I should have put into those parentheses if you
guys even heard the parentheses that I am _using_ Jaws 10. That's what I
meant. I unfortunately type as if I still could see, and as if I assume
readers of what I type are looking at it. Which on this list, as in my email
correspondence with a few friends who also use screen readers, that isn't
so, and I realize that many of my ordinary writing tools like parentheses
and quotation marks, which set off things very obviously to a sighted reader
in certain ways, usually go completely unnoticed and thus become meaningless
or, even worse, confuse things with jaws users unless they have their
punctuation verbosity cranked up really high.
Sigh. Live and learn.

Just for comparison, when I press Insert F (Jaws 10, here, but it's a common
keystroke for several versions) what I hear for your email as I read it is,
remembering in the wrong order but with specifics correct, Times Roman 10
point, left justified. Does that accord with what you believe yourself to be
sending?
By the way, the reply as I'm creating it right now says Times New Roman 12
point, which is what I know I've got Outlook Express set to produce.
Hope this elucidates something or other about what's probably a tricky topic
with a lot of variables I can't easily intuit.

Good question Dave. I think what happened was that I used another email as a
blank slate for my message and thus used those characteristics. I think this
message is in Verdana 10 point bolded font which is my default.
I thought the sender had control over email font sizes and not the reader.
Am I learning something new?
If so, I didn't see where in OE / Tools / Options to set it. Can you help?

monitor for visualization, group but let me put on my flak jacket and
request that some of you increase the font size of your email from 8 to 10
point font non-bolded to 10-14 point font (Verdana is great) bolded for
those of us using this great information source so that it will be easier on
our low-low vision still got some central acuity eyes.
