Kevin, Finally, I get it! You forgot the name of the guy who initially asked if everyone would be so kind as to make their fonts a little larger, and you thought it was me for some reason! So that's what you were talking about, as if I had been that guy and you managed to change your font size and you wanted to know if it was easier for me to read! And that wasn't me at all. Whew. That was difficult to get to. Well, I'm not the guy. As I explained earlier, I've got no central vision left in my retinas, and that's what we need to read print, even if we need it to be larger sometimes because our vision's going downhill. But I've got no dog in that fight at all, as I tried to say. I guess this would be funny, except I'm pretty tired out by now. Well, no problem. No worries. No hassle. Everything's copasetic now. Someone else in this thread asked us to use larger fonts if we could. I never knew how until now. Whoever it was that was interested in having larger fonts because they were a low vision person who would benefit from larger fonts, it may not have been you, I hope this is now bigger. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Yardbird Sent: Tuesday, April 28, 2009 10:44 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: re. email font sizes Kevin, I don't understand these telegraphic messages. I'm not trying to offend you simply by saying that. I really don't get what you're referring to each time with these comments. Try to believe me. Maybe this would help to explain. Although I'm partially sighted, I don't have central vision, which means no detail vision that allows me to read. At all. so I'm not considering these emails visually. I have no opinion for my own sake at all. maybe that helps explain why I don't get what you're talking about? Maybe? I was never literally looking at anyone's email and thinking anything at all about how large or small or what style the font was. Honest. I just mentioned that you can use that jaws command to find out what the font is and what size it is, that was all I was doing. Scratching my head. Not arguing about anything! ionot , can----- Original Message ----- From: "Kevin Gibbs" <kevjazz@xxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, April 28, 2009 8:28 PM Subject: RE: re. email font sizes Bigger font. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Yardbird Sent: Tuesday, April 28, 2009 6:59 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: re. email font sizes How's what? is what better? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kevin Gibbs" <kevjazz@xxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, April 28, 2009 4:53 PM Subject: RE: re. email font sizes How's this? I did it again! In my previous note, where I said I should have included the word *using* within those parentheses before typing Jaws 10 for the version, I made again the mistake of emphasizing the word using by typing an underscore before and after the word, which of course Jaws isn't reading to me. I should have used the asterisk character, which is what I usually do to emphasize something for another screen reader user, although it wouldn't be very usual to do that otherwise. double sigh. A little more practice making mistakes like these and I'll get to be old and wise like Sy. With a little luck. j/k -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
