No, the NY Times charges no fee to view its content. It may start doing so next year and is right now testing a $14.95-a-month subscription arrangement with a small New England paper. But for the foreseeable future, no charge. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of CrisMunoz54 Sent: Monday, August 16, 2010 7:47 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: nytimes.com Generally speaking, the page is set up with headings which make it easier to jump past and to certain material or sections. Remember though, the times has implemented a pay wall. If I recall correctly, it'll let you view a certain number of stories before asking you to register and or restrict access to material. Besides the webpage, have you tried Bookshare? I read the New York Times and about 5 other publications every day through them. I prefer it because the xml files have headings for each story and every section of the paper. Quite convenient and efficient. Just a thought. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of George B Sent: Monday, August 16, 2010 4:10 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: nytimes.com ok i went to www.newyorktimes.com and i arrowed down to todays paper and hit enter and then did a jaws key f7 to bring up the links list and hit s until i heard sports and hit enter and just red some of the sports page. > -----Original Message----- > From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On > Behalf Of Emily de Rham > Sent: Monday, August 16, 2010 15:55 > To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: nytimes.com > > Hello everyone, > > Does anyone have some tips for navigating the New York Times website? > > I'm a novice JAWS user and find the Times website almost impossible.
