Or, once you are on the article page, just bring up the list of links with JAWS Key plus F7 and press p a time or 2 to get to the Print link. You can sign up to get a daily email from the Times that has the headlines from the front page. If something looks interesting, you can press Enter on the link for an article to take you to the web page. That's when the Print link comes in handy.

Emily, Since you're able to locate articles, here's how to read their substance most conveniently.1. click on the link to the article and wait for it to load. Insert-numpad 3will confirm.2. Go to the top of the page and search for the word "print." almost alwaysyou'll land right away on the print link. If not, press F3 to repeat the search until you do. Click on the link.3. On the next page, press h for header to arrive at the article's headline. On this print-format page, you can read the entire article without all the distractions you mention. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Emily de Rham Sent: Monday, August 16, 2010 6:55 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: nytimes.com Hello everyone, Does anyone have some tips for navigating the New York Times website?I'm a novice JAWS user and find the Times website almost impossible. I seem to get all sorts of navigation buttons and can't go straight to the content. If I click on a link for an article, a new window opens with the article, but again Jaws reads all around the window, but not the main content, or when I use N to start reading the article, after one paragraph Jaws willveer off to a graphic or an ad instead of reading the text straight through.A step by step guide would be welcome...
