I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful. I can see that you may be suspecting
that this problem may have something to do with your system resources being
overstressed, and there's been some discussion of that topic here, and maybe
you could ask for suggestions about how to check the performance of your
system and possibly optimize it. But if this slowdown isn't the result of
memory hogging or something like that, I'd have no idea. Good luck with
this, and I hope someone else here can be helpful. It sounds horribly
frustrating.

Thanks but, I have already been to FS several times.
I let Norton expire in hopes that replacing Norton and uninstalling and
reinstalling would solve the probblem.
The more text I type, the slower the reaction time is between key strokes
and audio announcement.
