Hi listers,

I am using XP SP2 and I wanted to share with you something I found when I
was in MS Config trying to decide what to have run at start-up. When I was
going through the list of things that run at start-up, I unchecked one item
and got the following message:

System Configuration Utility
Essential services cannot be disabled. Doing so might prevent Windows from
running on your computer.
Don't show this message in the future

This proved to be a very helpful little window. So, for what it's worth, I
am going to try unchecking most of the things I don't recognize, and now I
feel better because XP will warn me if I am trying to disable a critical item.

HTH
Norma
