I know this sounds funny, but it has worked for me. I have noticed that why
I am in word and JFW stops reading characters when I backspace, the cursor
blink rate has slowed down. If I minimize word and then alt tab back to it,
this helps.

Hi All,
Hmmm,I'm having a similar problem with Windows XP Pro JFW 5.00844 and Office
2003.
Jaws wont read any characters as I backspace etc.
Jaws just keeps loosing focus and I have to keep refreshing the screen with
"Jaws key and Escape" but eventually this does not work and I have to
restart JAWS.
Any ideas?
