Roger,

thanks for the good-natured and well-intentioned assistance so far, and
thanks to the other listers who've tried to help, too. I was starting to
suspect I had done something awfully wrong and no one was noticing. I tried
that shorter exec file name the first time, then I corrected its spelling,
then I tried the longer filename that begins with a path, and this, and
that, until my head was spinning.

Well, it seemed like a nice, helpful thing to have available in case neither
Insert F4 nor Insert Win F4 would properly unload Jaws after it's fallen
silent. And it seemed like such a simple matter. Just create this batch
file, put it wherever you please, send a shortcut to the desktop, create a
hotkey to activate it, and that's that. but no. I thought we got it straight
some time ago that not all of us were using XP Pro, and so the later
suggestions and batch files came from people who I presumed were providing
help specifically to the XP Home user. Maybe I misunderstood something about
that?

Well, I look forward to finding a solution so I can set this sort of thing
up. Thanks again for the support.

Hi Again,
I tryed these approaches on my XP Home machine, but I also had no luck. My
checking out the tskill program indicates the correct functional area, but
my technical level is coming up short. I thought I had a solution but we
will have to wait for more advanced help. This command works perfectly on
my XP Pro machine. I will stay tuned.
Roger
