No diss but,

I would keep prior versions of jfw installed. Hears why: There has been some
issues with version 6... and certain web pages. I could not access some mouse
over stuff on a web page with version 6. I unloaded it and started up version
5.1 & presto! I could access what I needed. After I was done I closed out 5.1
& started version 6 as I love the responsiveness of it.
Before anyone chimes in, I merged from 5 to 6. I adjusted verbosity options
with no improvement with the site I was trying to access and jfw 6. What I do
is store my 5.1 short cut in my unused shortcuts folder for when I might need
it. I am running XP Pro.

hth...Keith

  Hi Lister,
if you are using more than one version, clean out all of the versions but the
one you need the most, the most updated version should be the only version you
have installed.

    hello list:

can anyone out there help me with a query i have with the versions of jaws
that i have on my pc now? i have versions 5, 5.1 and 6 on my machine. i have
version 5.1 how i want it with all my settings voices etc. as i want them but
now with a new version 6 is there an easy way of getting my settings from 5.1
to work in version 6? i have also noticed in the past weeks/months that there
are a lot of unhappy people with version 6 - is there any things in version 6
that i should know about and if so where can i obtain this information from? i
currently am still using v5.1 and will do until i am sure exactly what i am
doing or rather what i am supposed to be doing with version 6. all help
appreciated. thankyou in anticipation. stephen
