Hello Bruce.
Have you tried turning on forms mode use virtual labels?
I have found that doing this can sometimes make a major difference in
getting form fields to read properly.

No. On a radio button, combo box or check box, hitting space just selects
or deselects without puttin you into forms mode. I don't believe hitting
space on an edit field will put you into forms mode either, but I'm not
positive on this. Nope, I lie. In an edit field, hitting space will put
you into forms mode. As always, the best way to find something like this
out is just to try it.
