Well, according to JAWS, it is the same (virtual cursor) environment, at least when using Outlook Express. Besides, Ctrl-f in Outlook Express is the Forward Message command. So, you really must use Ctrl-JawsKey-F if you want to find something past the initial screen and also be using the virtual cursor, which you do both in the message body of received emails in Outlook Express and normally in Internet Explorer while using JAWS. No, Ctrl-F is not a universal Windows find command. JAWS does what it can, with Ctrl-JAWSKey-F, given what's available in the various programs. I like it, myself. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Yardbird" <yardbird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, March 20, 2005 1:23 AM Subject: Re: find command with IE Judith, that's different, email. It isn't the same environment as a Web page. Under what sorts of conditions do you find it necessary on a Web page to use Control Insert F? What advantage does that method confer? thank you, Daniel ----- Original Message ----- >From: "Judith Bron" <jbron@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, March 19, 2005 4:58 PM Subject: Re: find command with IE Sometimes on the web I have to use Control, insert F. Also, when reading an email and you want to find something on the page insert, control F is the only way to go. ----- Original Message ----- >From: "Yardbird" <yardbird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, March 19, 2005 7:06 PM Subject: Re: find command with IE > Hi, > I know this myself, but the simple Control F has always served me for > finding anything on a Web page.
