OE requires installation of MS Word for the spell-checker to function. Armed with this information, Amando may be able to find a solution from Microsoft. I won't respond to more messages on this subject in recognition that the question is not related to JAWS. I just wanted to suggest an answer that might help someone who doesn't use English as a first language participate fully in the list. I was hoping someone might have a more direct solution. ----- Original Message ----- From: Patricia I don't think that outlook express incorperates the spell checker you have in word, it's outlook that does this. ----- Original Message ----- From: Adrian Spratt Hi, Amando. I don't know the answer, but I have a suggestion. As you probably know, Outlook Express doesn't have a spell-checker. It incorporates the spell-checker that you have in MS Word. Obviously, your MS Word is also a Dutch version. But you might contact Microsoft to inquire if there's a way of using the MS Word dictionary to enable you to spell-check OE messages that you write in English. Good luck. ----- Original Message ----- From: Amando Tortolero hallo all, i am dutch and so is my windows, outlook express, jaws etc. my spellchecker is ofcourse also dutch and when i use it on an english email, even i donot know what i have written. i searched for a way to let the spellchecker use english, but i did not find it. can anybody tell me if i can change the language of the spellchecker? thanks, amando tortolero
