Also, make sure Mute all is unchecked and Wave Balance is selected in the
Volume Controls window. Try any Headset instead of your speakers just for
troubleshooting purposes. There are situations where a telephony or voice
program disables the volume control without any warning. After checking the
Volume Controls, you can check Windows sound by opening a Notepad session.
Just press the space bar or type any alphabet key, and press Alt F4 to
close. You should hear a sound from Windows warning to save or not, or
cancel. If nothing works, you will need to go check your Sound Card in your
Device Manager, make sure it's there with the right driver, and not
disabled. If no success at all, keep us posted for more tips.

I would also check the volume control to make sure the wav and master play
